Silhouette Choices

Silhouette determines how much fabric and decoration the design can carry. A ballgown offers space for large motifs; a fitted gown demands cleaner placement.

Short answer. Pick a silhouette before shopping if possible. Use voluminous skirts for broad decoration and fitted shapes for controlled trims, then verify the tag preview.

How it works and what to do

Change bodice, collar, sleeve, and skirt pieces in the sketchbook. The required-fabric estimate and visible tag totals update around the preview.

02 / Requirements

Before you start

  1. 01

Choose pieces that fit the requested event and tags.

  2. 02

Recheck the fabric requirement after every silhouette change.

  3. 03

Leave enough visual space for the largest required accessory.

Details that change the route

01

Large skirts can hide small requirement pieces, but important details should still remain visible from the main view.

02

Changing one major pattern piece can alter required fabric, so treat the full sketchbook estimate as temporary.

03

Use the finished-garment gallery as inspiration, not as proof that every pattern combination is available at the same progression point.
